Introduction

Duplex Board GD, known for its two-layered structure, is a type of paperboard used extensively in various packaging applications due to its high strength, low cost, and good printability  Classified as Greyback Duplex or Whiteback Duplex based on the colour of the uncoated side, it can also have different grades like GD1, GD2, GD3, and GD4 
How it's Made: Duplex Board paper is produced from recycled fibres that are cleaned and deinked. Its top layer consists of bleached kraft pulp or chemical pulp coated with a mixture of pigments, binders, and additives, providing a glossy and smooth finish  The bottom layer is composed of unbleached kraft pulp or recycled fibres left uncoated, resulting in a grey or white colour.

Features and Benefits

Apart from high strength and stiffness that enable it to withstand compression and folding forces, the Duplex Board GD provides good protection and cushioning for packed products. It can be printed with high-quality graphics and logos to enhance brand image and attract customers. Moreover, it improves product shelf appeal due to its glossy and bright surface. Being made from recycled materials, it is an environmentally friendly option 

Applications
